The Sole Report, Vol. 2: Fall Momentum, Fresh Partnerships, and the Road to the Holidays
Share
Hey family,
It's been a minute since the first Sole Report back in February. A lot has moved since then — some of it you can see, some of it still behind the scenes. Here's the honest update.
The Fall Sock-Up Sale is live
Right now — October 8 through 11 — everything at Dollar Sole is 15% off with code STOCKUP15. I don't do sitewide sales often, but fall felt like the right moment: the weather's turning, the holidays are coming, and there's no better time to stock your drawer.
And here's what doesn't change: every pair you buy still puts a pair on a neighbor's feet. Sale or not, the mission stays the same.
Sole Circle got a tune-up
Our subscription program just got cleaned up. It's simple now: $2.70 a month per Essential pair (10% off), socks ship monthly, you're charged monthly. No confusing fine print. Bundles and 2-packs can ride along too. If you've ever thought about setting it and forgetting it, now's the time.
Partnerships: planting seeds
This fall I've been knocking on doors across Charlotte and Fort Mill — churches, nonprofits, community orgs — with two ways to work together: team up on sock donations, or stock Dollar Sole at wholesale with the matching donated pairs going wherever you choose.
A few conversations I'm grateful for: Crisis Assistance Ministry and their Free Store, Time Out Youth and their life essentials closet, and a handful of local churches. Some are still in conversation. All of them matter.
And a personal one: my wife Hannah runs Voices of Growth, a special-education advocacy organization. We're starting to show up together — Dollar Sole plus Voices of Growth — because our missions rhyme: dignity for overlooked people. More on that soon, including news on our sensory-friendly sock line.
Looking ahead: the holidays
The holidays are our biggest opportunity — not just for sales, but for giving. Socks are the #1 most requested item at shelters and the least donated. Every bundle you buy in November and December means pairs on feet that need them in the coldest months.
That's the report. Thank you for rocking with us — one sole at a time.
